Mastering The Ghosts album at Air Studios

Sitting here with the legendary Matt Colton who is mastering the Ghosts album as I type this. All sounding good so far. Great to be back at Air Studios – it’s been a while – just bumped into Spike Stent, who I haven’t seen since the Olympic Studios days.. anyway, back to mastering!

Playing an Orb gig tonight!

I am joining Alex Paterson on stage at the O2 indigo as The Orb tonight. We will perform the Metallic Spheres set with material from the album we did with Dave Gilmour earlier this year. Also performing are 808 State.

The Ghosts session starts

I am up near Manchester starting an album I am producing with a band called The Ghosts. In a great place called Eve Studios. It’s full of analog synths, vintage gear and more mad instruments than you could eat. Two songs in already and the sound of the record is emerging from its demo cocoon.

The View album released

The View album which I recorded and mixed with Clive Goddard is released today. It’s called ‘Bread and Circuses’ and was produced by Youth. The single Grace has had a lot of radio play recently so fingers crossed.

The View -Grace

I keep turning on the radio in my car to hear The View’s new single ‘Grace’ thundering out of my speakers. Can’t help but turn it up really loud. I worked on the upcoming album ‘Bread and Circuses’ and mixed it all with Clive Goddard. It’s a great album, but in the meantime enjoy Grace!

Montana

Starting work today on the music for the movie Montana, in Belgium with the wonderfully talented Mr Ozark Henry. Watched the movie for the first time last night with the director and producer and it’s already looking great!

La Roux -In for the Kill (US video) uses Tim Bran mix

My mix of In For The Kill has been used for the US video of the song, which is just about to be released in the States.
My version has all new vocals, which were recorded in London over my version of the song, while I was doing the mix!
